The Daily Telegraph is a well-known daily newspaper from the United Kingdom. It started way back in 1855. Arthur B. Sleigh first launched the newspaper in June 1855. It was originally called Daily Telegraph and Courier. Since 2004, the newspaper has been owned by David and Frederick Barclay.

To compare, The Times sold 617,483 copies. The Guardian sold 358,844 copies. The Independent sold 215,504 copies. By August 2010, The Daily Telegraph was still selling many copies, around 673,010 daily. The Times sold 494,205 copies at that time.
