The Flumps was a fun TV show for kids. It was created and written by Julie Holder. The BBC produced this show, and it was first shown in 1977. You could watch The Flumps on TV until 1988.
What Is The Flumps About?
This show was all about a family of furry, friendly characters called The Flumps! Each episode showed their different adventures. Julie Holder created and wrote all the stories. A person named Gay Soper told the stories as the narrator.
The show had a special theme song. It was played by George Chisholm on a musical instrument called the trombone.
In 1978, the BBC made a record with stories from the show. It was called The Flumps (REC 309). This record had four stories: "Keep Fit", "Balloons", "Moon Shot", and "Something Different". Gay Soper narrated and sang on the record. Later, in 2000, The Flumps was also released on DVD.
