The Story So Far
This series picks up right after the first one. Jenny Kelly was hurt trying to get the Time Capsule back from Silverthorn. To heal her, Jenny and Alana travel to the year 3000.
A Problem in Time
In the year 3000, scientists discover that their time travel experiments have caused big changes. The future is now a dangerous, ruined place. To fix this, Jenny and Silverthorn must go back to their own times. But Silverthorn, who is very sneaky, steals plans for a new time machine.
A Ruined Future
Alana and her guardian, Lorien, return to the year 3000. They find it's a radioactive wasteland. This "Great Disaster" has destroyed the whole world! They go back to the year 2500, which is still normal. This means Silverthorn does something in 2500 that causes the disaster. Alana and Lorien must find out what it is and stop him.
Life in 2500
The year 2500 is a tough place to live. It's polluted and controlled by a huge company called GlobeCorp. Most people are poor and struggle to find clean water and food. Only the rich live comfortably in tall buildings. The very top leaders even live on the moon!
Stopping Silverthorn
Alana, with help from Jenny and a new friend named Nik, must find out what causes the Great Disaster. They also have to avoid being caught by the GlobeCops and a new bad guy, Draco. Silverthorn plans to steal water from 1990 and bring it to 2500 using his new time machine. Our heroes must stop him!
Main Characters
You'll meet some new and familiar faces in this adventure.
James Rooney
James is Jenny's science teacher from 1990. He's a kind person who helped Alana return home in the first series.
Draco
Draco is a powerful manager at GlobeCorp. He wants to take over the whole company. He's a dangerous new enemy for Alana and her friends.
Nik
Nik is a brave 15-year-old boy from the year 2500. He helps Jenny and Alana when they are in trouble. Nik's grandmother, Maeve, is important because she invented the very first Transducer.
Lorien
Lorien is one of Alana's guardians from the future. She also works with Bruno on the time travel project.
Future Technology
The future has some amazing and sometimes scary technology.
Technology in 2500
The year 2500 has advanced gadgets, often used by GlobeCorp.
- Laser pistols: These are common weapons. When the trigger is held, energy builds up in an object. When released, the object explodes!
- Storeman: This is a cool device for playing and storing music. It's a sphere that glows different colors as it plays.
- Drone: A red tube-shaped camera that can spy from far away. It has a microphone too.
- The Modification Chamber: This is a scary device used to control people's minds. If someone is arrested, they are put in this chamber. It makes them lose their free will and obey simple commands.
Technology in 3000
In the year 3000, all science happens inside the Science Dome. The Time Laboratory is where time travel experiments take place.
- The Time Gate: This is a new invention by Bruno. It's like an energy doorway that lets you step through time easily. You just type in the time you want to go to, and a swirling portal appears.
- Sentinel: This device from 3000 is programmed to follow people who might cause harm. If someone calls for help, the Sentinel fires an energy beam that freezes the person, stopping them from hurting anyone. It can only be turned off with a Transducer.
