The House of Magic (also known as Thunder and The House of Magic in the United States) is a fun 3D animated movie from 2013. It was made in Belgium and France. The film tells the story of a young, abandoned cat who finds a new home with a kind old magician. This magician lives in a house full of amazing robots and cool inventions. The movie is a mix of fantasy and comedy, perfect for an exciting adventure!
A TV show called Presto! School of Magic was announced in 2017. It is a spin-off from the movie.

The Story of Thunder
A New Home for a Lost Cat
The movie begins with a ginger cat being left behind by his owners. They stop their car and throw a toy ball. The cat chases it, but they drive away without him. Now alone, the little cat searches for a safe place to go.
He faces many dangers, like a big dog chasing him. He finally finds an old house that people say is haunted. He sneaks in through an open attic window.
Meeting New Friends (and Foes!)
Inside the strange house, the cat meets a tiny mouse named Maggie. Maggie is scared of him, even though he tries to show he's friendly. Soon, Maggie's grumpy rabbit friend, Jack, appears. Jack and Maggie tell the cat to leave. They are worried he will take all their owner's attention.
They throw the cat out, but he finds another way in. A thunderstorm starts, and he hides inside. He then sees the house's owner, Mr. Lawrence. Mr. Lawrence is a kind old magician. He talks to his amazing robots and gadgets. He is trying to fix one named Edison.
Thunder Joins the Family
Later, Mr. Lawrence's nephew, Daniel, visits. Daniel is interested in money and wants to sell the house. After Daniel leaves, Jack and Maggie find the cat again. The cat accidentally turns Edison on, and Jack chases him.
But Mr. Lawrence wakes up and sees the cat. He decides to adopt him and names him Thunder. Thunder is named after his fear of lightning.
Jealousy and an Accident
Thunder learns more about the house and its residents. He meets Carlo and Carla, a pair of romantic pigeons. Jack and Maggie are very jealous of Thunder. They try everything to make him leave. They are afraid Mr. Lawrence will like Thunder more than them.
The next day, Thunder goes with Mr. Lawrence to a magic show. Mr. Lawrence performs for children at a hospital. Thunder helps with the "rabbit out of a hat" trick. Everyone loves it!
On the way home, Jack and Maggie are still upset. They try to get rid of Thunder. They poke him off the back of Mr. Lawrence's bicycle. During the chaos, Mr. Lawrence has an accident. He breaks his leg and goes to the hospital. Thunder is left behind.
Saving the House
Daniel's Sneaky Plan
With Mr. Lawrence in the hospital, Daniel sees his chance. He tricks his uncle into signing papers. These papers give Daniel the power to sell the house. Thunder suspects Daniel's bad plans. He warns Mr. Lawrence's robots.
Daniel brings two people to see the house. Thunder gets Carlo and Carla to drop bird poop on them. This scares the buyers away. Meanwhile, Jack (who also broke his leg) and Maggie blame Thunder for the accident. Thunder tries to tell the truth.
Working Together
Thunder manages to convince everyone they need his help. Daniel is very allergic to cats! They let Thunder stay but lock him in a bird cage. Another buyer comes, but Thunder is rescued by a small Chihuahua. Daniel tries to trap Thunder.
Later, Thunder visits Mr. Lawrence at the hospital. He is happy to learn Mr. Lawrence never blamed him. Thunder returns home. The house's residents have scared away more buyers. They made them think the house was haunted.
The Truth Comes Out
When Jack and Maggie try to kick Thunder out again, the truth about the accident is revealed. Everyone stands up for Thunder. Daniel gets very angry. He tries many strange ways to get rid of Thunder. But Thunder always outsmarts him.
Daniel even uses a gun, thinking he got rid of Thunder. But Mr. Lawrence's toys kick Daniel out of the house. Mr. Lawrence also finds out Daniel's trick. He tries to leave the hospital. Thunder, Jack, Maggie, and the toys must save the house. Daniel is trying to destroy it with a wrecking ball!
A Happy Ending
Mr. Lawrence rushes back from the hospital. Some children he met there help him. He sees Daniel using a wrecking ball. He finally understands how bad Daniel is. Jack gets stuck in the cat-flap of the front door. Thunder tries to save all the robots from being crushed.
Thunder saves Maggie's life. This finally earns him her respect and friendship. They all work together. They use Daniel's cat allergy against him. Daniel ends up hitting his own car with the wrecking ball!
Mr. Lawrence tells Daniel to fix the house. Thunder is finally accepted by Jack and Maggie as part of the family. When Mr. Lawrence gets better, he goes back to his magic shows. Thunder, Jack, and Maggie all have a starring role. Thunder is happy to have a family that loves him. His Chihuahua friend even tries to join the team!
