The Luck of the Irish is a fun Disney Channel original movie from 2001. This film tells the story of a boy who discovers a magical secret about his family. Some parts of the movie were filmed at Lagoon, an amusement park in Farmington, Utah.
What is The Luck of the Irish About?
The story follows Kyle Johnson, a 15-year-old who loves playing basketball. He believes a special gold charm brings him good luck. Kyle soon learns a big family secret: his mother's side of the family are actually leprechauns!
Things get tricky when an evil leprechaun named Seamus McTiernen steals Kyle's lucky coin. This causes a magical spell to start changing Kyle. He begins to shrink and his ears become pointy! To stop the spell and get back to normal, Kyle must get his gold charm back from Seamus. He goes on an exciting adventure to save himself and his family's magic.

An Indian Remake
In 2012, a new version of the movie was made in India. It was an Indian television film called Luck Luck Ki Baat. This remake was directed by Iqbal Khan and starred actors Satyajeet Dubey and Mahesh Thakur.
