Meet the Characters

Shelby's Friends and Family

  • Michael "Mike" Woo (Pat Morita): Mike is Shelby's kind and caring grandfather. He used to be a detective, and he looks after Shelby. He often worries about Shelby getting involved in dangerous cases, but he always supports her.
  • Cindy Ornette (Preslaysa Edwards): Cindy is Shelby's cheerful best friend in Cocoa Beach. She enjoys helping Shelby with her cases and is close to her cousin, Wayne.
  • Noah Allen (Adam Busch): Noah is Shelby's other best friend in Cocoa Beach. He's not as keen on solving mysteries as Shelby and Cindy, but he's always there for his friends. Noah dreams of becoming an actor.
  • Angela "Angie" Burns (Eleanor Noble): When Shelby moves to Boston, Angie becomes her new best friend. Angie is very good at science and often uses her knowledge to help Shelby solve cases.
  • Vincent "Vince" Rosania (Noah Klar): Vince is Shelby's other new best friend in Boston. He was first a suspect in one of Shelby's early cases in Boston, but he soon becomes a trusted friend and even Shelby's love interest.

Other Important People

  • Detective Whit Hineline (Steve Purnick): Detective Hineline works for the Cocoa Beach Police Department. He's a bit sarcastic and doesn't always like Shelby getting involved in his investigations, but he does care about her safety.

  • Will (Joshua Harto): Will works at CJ's burger joint, a place where Shelby and her friends hang out in Cocoa Beach. He's known for clumsy mistakes.

Shelby Woo is always busy solving different kinds of mysteries. She helps clear innocent people's names, finds missing items, and uncovers secrets.

  • Missing Items: Shelby often helps find things that have gone missing, like a valuable gold coin, a popular dolphin, or even a rock from the moon!
  • Unusual Crimes: She investigates strange events, such as a surf champ being poisoned, animals disappearing after a fire, or someone putting itching powder in basketball uniforms.
  • Framed Friends: Sometimes, Shelby has to prove that her friends or even detectives are innocent when they are wrongly accused of something.
  • Strange Happenings: Shelby also looks into odd situations, like accidents happening during a play, students getting sick from school food, or a house that seems to be haunted.
  • Big Cases: She even gets involved in bigger cases, like finding a missing astronaut, solving a mystery involving a famous Paul Revere bowl, or figuring out why a page is missing from most yearbooks.

No matter how big or small the mystery, Shelby and her friends use their smarts and teamwork to figure out what happened!
