Archie uses special powers to show us the hidden world. He reveals tiny details about human bodies and physics. He also explores explosive chemistry and gross zoology. Together, Stanley and Archie discover science wonders. But their experiments often cause big, funny messes.

- Stanley Brown (Dean-Charles Chapman) - Stanley is the main character. He loves comics, gadgets, and computer games. He always wonders how things work. Stanley is a natural leader. He takes care of his friends. He is great with appliances. But his mum banned him from taking things apart. He often seems distracted to his family. He talks to himself because he's talking to Archie. Stanley sometimes wishes he was just a normal 13-year-old.
- Jess (Nell Williams) - Jess is Stanley's neighbor. She is unique and very smart. She is witty and street-smart. Jess is interested in Stanley's experiments. She also notices his strange behavior. At first, she feels sorry for Mike. But she learns to like his loyalty. She becomes a key part of Stanley's group.
- Mike (Louis Demosthenous) - Mike is Stanley's best friend. He is not very strong. But he is super loyal to Stanley. Mike wants to be a soldier when he grows up. He often talks about his time in the Junior Marines.
- Stephanie "Steph" Brown (Nicola Duffell) - Steph is Stanley's older sister. She acts well-behaved in front of her mum. But she loves to annoy Stanley. Stanley thinks Steph always gets away with things. She uses her older sister status to her advantage.
- Archie (Sy Thomas) - Archie is Stanley's great-great-great-great-great-great grandson. He traveled from the future. He came to learn from Stanley's curiosity. Archie insists he is not Stanley's imaginary friend. He thinks Stanley is like a "young Einstein." Archie is the first in his family without the "Brown brilliance." He hopes spending time with Stanley will teach him. Only Stanley can see and hear Archie. Archie uses his super computer, OLIVIA, to stay invisible. Archie is lively, funny, and full of energy.
- OLIVIA (Jocelyn Jee Esien) - OLIVIA is Archie’s smart mobile super computer. Her name stands for Open Link Infinitely Variable Interactive Apparatus.
- Daniel (Jaques Miché) - Daniel is Jess's older brother. Steph has a crush on him. Daniel thinks he is very popular. He assumes everyone wants to be like him. Unlike Jess, he is sensitive. Small insults can easily hurt his feelings.
- Daisy (Rhyanna Alexander-Davies) - Daisy is Steph's best friend. Steph doesn't treat her well. But Daisy doesn't seem to mind. She often causes problems by misunderstanding simple things. Daisy has a kind heart. She is always eager to help. Her honesty sometimes gets her into trouble. She might tell Steph things about her looks that Steph doesn't want to hear.
- Amanda Brown (Juliet Cowan) - Amanda is Stanley and Steph's mum. She sells beauty products door-to-door. She cares a lot about her appearance and her home.
