Contents
Scourge's Early Life and Challenges
Tiny is the smallest kitten in his family. He has two siblings, Socks and Ruby. They are much bigger and often pick on him because of his size. When humans come to adopt the kittens, Socks and Ruby find new homes. But Tiny is left behind. Ruby tells him that unwanted kittens might be thrown into the river. This makes Tiny very scared.
Tiny's Escape and Forest Encounter
To avoid being thrown away, Tiny runs into the nearby forest. There, he meets some forest cats from ThunderClan. These cats are Bluefur, Thistleclaw, and Thistleclaw's young student, Tigerpaw. Tigerpaw tries to seriously hurt Tiny. Luckily, Bluefur stops him just in time. She reminds Tigerpaw about the important rules of the warrior code.
Becoming Scourge: A New Identity
After his scary forest adventure, Tiny goes to the city. Other city cats make fun of his collar. He finds a dog tooth and tries to use it to rip off his collar. Instead, the tooth gets stuck in his collar. When other cats ask about it, Tiny makes up a story. He says he pulled the tooth from a dog's mouth after defeating it. He hopes this will make him seem strong.
The Legend of Scourge Spreads
Tiny's story quickly spreads among the city cats. Soon, two tough loners, Bone and Brick, ask for his help. A big dog is guarding a dumpster full of food, keeping other cats away. When Tiny faces the dog, his shadow startles it, and the dog runs away. The city cats are very impressed. One cat asks Tiny his name. Tiny remembers something his mother once said about forest cats being "a scourge on the name of all good cats." He decides right then to call himself Scourge.
Scourge's Rise to Power
Later, Scourge is asked to help get rid of a group of forest cats. These cats are causing trouble for the city strays. The forest cats tease Scourge because he is small. To show them and his own cats what he can do, Scourge defeats one of the forest cats. The forest cats are shocked and decide to leave.
Leading BloodClan and Family Matters
After this event, Scourge becomes a leader among the city cats. He rules them like a strict boss, but he still feels restless. After some time, his siblings, Socks and Ruby, come to him for help. Their owners have abandoned them. Scourge reminds them how mean they were to him when they were kittens. Still, he allows them to eat something before sending them away from his territory.
The Final Confrontation with Tigerstar
A few years later, Tigerpaw, who is now known as Tigerstar, comes to BloodClan. He asks Scourge for help to defeat his own enemies. Scourge agrees to help. He plans to get revenge on Tigerstar for what happened when he was a tiny kitten. Scourge waits for the right moment. During a big meeting with the forest Clans, Tigerstar attacks him. This gives Scourge the chance he was waiting for. He defeats Tigerstar with a powerful strike, using claws made stronger by dog teeth. Finally, Scourge feels content with his victory over Tigerstar.
