The Seventh Brother (known as A hetedik testvér in Hungarian and Bobo und die Hasenbande in German) is a fun animated fantasy film for children. It was made in 1991 by Pannonia Film Studio in Hungary. The movie was created with help from Magyar Televízió, RealFilm from Germany, and Feature Films for Families from the U.S. It tells a heartwarming story about friendship and family.

The Story of Tiny the Puppy

The film begins in a forest, where a wise owl named Dr. Albert E. Owl introduces himself. He is a famous storyteller. Dr. Owl tells us a special tale about a little puppy named Tiny.

Tiny Gets Lost

The story starts in spring. Tiny the puppy is riding in a car with his owner, a girl named Angie, and her grandpa. They are driving home after a fun trip. Suddenly, their car breaks down during a big storm. Angie's grandpa gets out to fix it. Angie goes to help him, telling Tiny to stay in the car.

But Tiny sees a frog outside and chases it. He falls down a hill without his owners knowing. Angie and her grandpa drive away, not hearing Tiny's barks over the storm. Tiny is very sad. He finds a hollow spot in a bush to sleep. Angie soon realizes Tiny is gone and calls for him, but he is asleep.

A New Family for Tiny

The next morning, a group of rabbits finds Tiny. Most of them are scared, thinking Tiny is a monster. But one kind rabbit, Joanna, decides they should help him. She convinces her siblings to vote. Her brothers and sisters are Rebecca, Mimi, Cody, and Marty. Even J.C., the tough one, agrees in the end.

The rabbits welcome Tiny into their family as a "bunny-puppy." Tiny agrees to stay, but only if they promise to check later for Angie. The bunnies agree and take Tiny to their home. They even teach him how to act like a rabbit, like hopping and keeping his ears up.

Tiny Proves Himself

J.C. is still not happy with Tiny because he doesn't act like a rabbit. But one day, a hawk tries to catch J.C. Tiny bravely barks at the hawk, scaring it away. After this, the rabbit family fully accepts Tiny as their brother. Tiny is very happy. At first, the rabbit parents are a little scared of Tiny, but they soon love him too.

Forest Friends and Foes

The next day, Miss Magpie, who likes to know everyone's business, spreads the news about Tiny. Most forest animals are scared at first. But when they see Tiny is kind, they feel better. Miss Magpie, however, still thinks Tiny is a monster.

Tiny smells Angie's scent and hears her calling. He runs to the road where he got lost. But he is too late, and he thinks Angie doesn't want him anymore. Luckily, his new rabbit family cheers him up. Miss Magpie then hires a fox named Mr. Fox to scare the rabbits. But Tiny teaches the rabbits to growl, which scares Mr. Fox away.

Later, human poachers come to the forest to hunt the bunnies. Tiny teaches the rabbits to howl while hiding. This scares the poachers away too.

A Flood and a Hero

One night, a big flood reaches the rabbits' home. J.C. and his father try to dig their way out. The other rabbits climb a branch. But Cody gets caught in the fast water. Tiny bravely jumps in and saves Cody. The rabbits get to dry land.

J.C. and his dad are still stuck in their hole as the water rises. Tiny senses them and digs a new hole. They escape through it. Their father is very proud of Tiny, calling him his son.

Winter and Goodbyes

Winter is coming. Miss Magpie makes fun of Tiny for being a dog and not knowing how to get ready for winter. But then, a weasel tries to attack Miss Magpie. Tiny fights the weasel and throws it into a pond. Miss Magpie warns the rabbits that Tiny is hurt.

When the rabbits find Tiny, they celebrate that he is alive. But Tiny is sick from the weasel's bite. They take him to Dr. Owl. Dr. Owl tells the rabbit parents that Tiny must go back to his human owners to get better.

The rabbits carry Tiny home. They cross a big gap between two hills with J.C.'s help. Finally, they reach Tiny's old home. As Tiny goes into his doghouse, the rabbits howl and then disappear. Angie hears the howling and wonders if it's Tiny. When she sees him, she and her grandpa are overjoyed to have him back home.
