The Silly Book is a super fun children's book written and illustrated by Stoo Hample. It first came out in 1961 and was re-released in 2004. This book is packed with all sorts of silly things! You'll find funny songs, goofy names to call people and objects, wacky recipes, playful poems, and even "silly nothings." It's known for being a truly unique and hilarious book that makes kids giggle.

This book was Stoo Hample's very first one. It was originally put together by Ursula Nordstrom, a famous editor of children's books. Many people describe The Silly Book as a "classic mix of poems, songs, jokes, drawings, and funny remarks." It's also been called "the literary equivalent of a child's giggle fit" because it's so full of humor.

On the first page, you'll meet two of the main characters: Boodleheimer and the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny in the book looks more like a worm at first, but later changes to Mother Goose. The story also features a boy named J.B. and a girl named Louise as main characters.

The Silly Book was so popular that it even inspired a music album called The Silly Record. In 2010, a new version of The Silly Book was released. This special edition came with the very first CD release of The Silly Record, so fans could enjoy both the book and the songs together.
