The Snaffling Pig Co began in December 2013. It was first called "Giggling Pig Limited." The founder, Nick Coleman, made a bet with Udhi Silva. The bet was about who could grow a company to £1 million in sales first, using only £500 to start. The winner would get a steak dinner!
Early Days and Big Ideas
At first, Snaffling Pig's sales were slow. Things changed in 2016 because of a clever idea. They created the world's first pork scratching advent calendar. This special calendar got a lot of attention and over 10,000 orders!
In 2016, the company went on the TV show Dragons' Den. They received £70,000 from Nick Jenkins, one of the 'dragons'. This money helped their business grow even more.

In 2017, The Snaffling Pig Co won the Virgin 'Foodpreneur' award. The prize was a special shop space for six weeks at the Lakeside Shopping Centre.
In 2018, the company was a finalist for the Consumer Business of the year at the Start Ups Awards. This showed they were doing well.
