The Star Girls were a fun Australian pop group. They made music especially for children. Their very first album, The Star Girls from Planet Groove, was a big hit! It was even nominated for a special award called the ARIA Award for Best Children's Album in 2002.
The group was started by Dianne Regan. The main members were Dream Star (Jodie Crombie Brown), Smiley Star (Michelle Irsak), Cheeky Star (Dianne Regan), and Angel Star (Lyndal Vincent). Sometimes, Dianne's daughter, Jasmine, who was known as Twinkle Star, would also join them.
In 2007, a cool animated TV show was made about them. It was called "Planet Groove Featuring the Star Girls" and it aired on the Nicktoons Network.
