The Whodunit Detective Agency facts for kids
The Whodunit Detective Agency is a super popular Swedish book series for children. It's written by Martin Widmark and has cool pictures by Helena Willis. In Sweden, it's called LasseMajas detektivbyrå, which means "LasseMaja's Detective Agency".
In English, the series is known as The JerryMaya Detective Agency. Between 2014 and 2016, eight of these exciting books came out in English. They were published by Grosset and Dunlap, a part of Penguin Random House.
Besides the books, you can find games, puzzles, and more based on the series. There's even a TV show made in Sweden!
Meet the Detectives: Jerry and Maya
This awesome book series is all about two clever kids named Lasse and Maja. In the English books, they are called Jerry and Maya. They live in a small, cozy city named Valleby. In English, this city is called Pleasant Valley.
Jerry and Maya absolutely love solving mysteries! So, they decided to start their very own detective agency. They often help the police chief of Valleby solve tricky cases.

TV Shows and Movies
The LasseMaja books have also been turned into TV shows and movies! In 2006, a TV series based on the books was shown in Sweden. It was part of a special Christmas calendar show called julkalendern.
Later, in 2008, a movie called LasseMajas detektivbyrå – Kameleontens hämnd was made. This film continued the story from the TV series.
