His most famous books are the LasseMaja junior mysteries, known in English as The Whodunit Detective Agency. These books have been translated from Swedish into many languages around the world.

About Martin Widmark

Martin Widmark was born in a place called Sturefors. He grew up in Linköping, which is another city in Sweden. Since the 1980s, he has lived in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. He started his writing career with his first book. Since then, he has written over a hundred books for young readers. Today, he is one of Sweden's most popular children's book authors. He has sold almost 10 million books! His stories have been translated into nearly 40 different languages.

His Famous Books

The books about The Whodunit Detective Agency are very popular. Eight of these books have been translated into English. They were published by a company called Grosset and Dunlap. These mystery stories follow two young detectives, Lasse and Maja, as they solve crimes.
