Thimphu District is one of the 20 districts in Bhutan. The administrative centre is Thimphu. Thimpu is also the capital of Bhutan and the largest city in the whole kingdom.
There are eight village blocks:
- Chang Gewog
- Dagala Gewog
- Genyekha Gewog
- Kawang Gewog
- Lingzhi Gewog
- Mewang Gewog
- Naro Gewog
- Soe Gewog
