The Third Borisov Government was a group of leaders who ran the country of Bulgaria. It started its work on May 4, 2017. This government was led by Boyko Borisov, who was the Prime Minister.
This government was a coalition government. This means that different political parties worked together to form the government. Borisov's party, called GERB, won the most votes in the 2017 election. However, they did not win enough seats in the National Assembly (Bulgaria's parliament) to govern alone. So, they teamed up with another group called the United Patriots to form the government.
The government stayed in power until May 12, 2021. Before that, on April 16, 2021, the National Assembly voted for the government to resign. Even after the vote, they continued to work until a new government was ready.
How the Government Was Formed
The Third Borisov Government was made up of ministers from the GERB party. It also included two leaders from their partner group, the United Patriots.
On May 4, 2017, the members of the Bulgarian Parliament voted for this new government. Most of them voted "yes." This allowed the government to officially start its work.
