Thomas Ashe (legal writer) facts for kids
Thomas Ashe was an English writer who focused on law. He was active between the years 1600 and 1618. He studied law at a place called Gray's Inn starting in 1574. He became a lawyer in 1583. Later, in 1597, he became a senior member of Gray's Inn.
Books by Thomas Ashe

- Abridgment des touts les cases reportez alarge per Monsieur Plowden (around 1600): This book was a summary of many legal cases. Another version of it came out in 1607.
- Επιεικεια: et table generall a les annales del ley (1609): This book helped people find legal cases. It focused on how laws were interpreted fairly. It also included cases from the time of Queen Elizabeth I.
- Le Primer Volume del Promptuaire (1614): This was a guide or "repertory" to the laws of England.
- Fasciculus florum; or a Handfull of Flowers (1618): This book collected important ideas from the writings of a famous lawyer named Sir E. Coke.
Another book, called A Generall Table to Coke's reports (published in 1652), is also thought to have been written by Thomas Ashe.
