Thomas Blake, Jr. (born December 29, 1976) is an American tennis player who used to play professionally. He was born in Yonkers, New York. Thomas has a younger brother, James Blake, who also became a professional tennis player.
Thomas grew up in Fairfield, Connecticut. He went to Fairfield Warde High School. Later, he graduated from Harvard University. He started playing tennis professionally in 1996.
Thomas Blake's Tennis Career
Thomas Blake played in the US Open doubles tournament. He teamed up with his brother James in 1999 and 2002. He also played on the ATP Tour, which is where professional tennis players compete. Some tournaments he played in 2003 included the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships.
Thomas stopped playing professional singles tennis in October 2005. After his playing career, he became a coach. In June 2008, Thomas Blake was named the head coach for the Washington Kastles team. He currently lives in Tampa, Florida.
