Sir Thomas Parker (1595 – 31 May 1663) was an important English landowner and politician. He lived a long time ago, during a period of big changes in England. He was a Member of Parliament (MP) several times, representing different areas in the House of Commons. This was like being a representative in today's government. He was also given the special title of 'Knight' in 1617.

Sir Thomas Parker was born in 1595. He came from a well-known family in England. His home was at a place called Ratton, near Eastbourne. Being a landowner meant he owned a lot of property and had an important position in society.

Thomas Parker was the oldest son of Sir Nicholas Parker. His mother was Catherine Temple. His father was also a Member of Parliament, so politics was something Thomas grew up around.
A Career in Parliament
Sir Thomas Parker became a politician and served in the House of Commons. This is where laws were made and important decisions for the country were discussed. He was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) for different areas:
- In 1626, he represented Hastings.
- In 1641, he represented Seaford.

His Family and Later Life
In 1618, Sir Thomas Parker married Philadelphia Lennard. Her father was Henry Lennard, who was a Baron. They had several children together:
