Thomson Islet facts for kids

Thomson Islet is a small island located off the coast of Queensland, Australia. It's a part of the amazing Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, which is a very important natural area.

Where is Thomson Islet?

Thomson Islet is found in a special part of Australia called the Cape York Peninsula. This area is in the far north of Queensland. The island is only a few hundred meters east of a place called Tern Cliffs.

It's also very close to the Jardine River National Park and the Jardine River Resource Reserve. These are protected areas known for their beautiful nature. Thomson Islet is about 40 kilometers (which is about 25 miles) southeast of a town called Bamaga.
