A Look Back in History

Long, long ago, Thoothukudi was part of one of India's oldest kingdoms, the Pandyan Dynasty. They had an important port called Korkai. Through this port, people from Thoothukudi traded with the powerful Roman Empire. Imagine goods traveling all that way!

There's also an ancient place called Adichanallur. Here, scientists have found old remains from the ancient Tamil civilization. These discoveries help us learn about how people lived many centuries ago.
