About Three Little Dreams
This book is actually a set of three smaller books. Each book tells a story about a different character and their dreams. The three dreams are named "Of Night and Of Flight," "Of Dragons and Drowse," and "Of Sleep and of Sheep."
The books are designed in a cool accordion style. When you open them all the way, they stretch out. They can even connect to form one long picture! The stories flow smoothly, showing how time passes and how different moments connect. Each story also ends where it began, making you wonder what is real and what is a dream.
The Dream of Night and Flight
This story is about a bird who wakes up with a surprise. Instead of bird wings, it has human arms and hands! This bird loves to play the piano. But in its dream, it wishes to be a real bird with real wings. In the dream, wings grow, and the bird flies. Then, it falls asleep and wakes up to find its human hands again.
The Dream of Dragons and Drowse
This dream starts with a young boy sleeping on a couch. He wakes up to see something amazing: a strange, red, cat-like dragon flying past his window! The boy bravely crawls out his window and onto the dragon's tail. The dragon takes him on an adventure. Finally, the dragon brings him home, and he gently floats back onto his couch.
The Dream of Sleep and Sheep
In this story, the moon changes into a fluffy sheep. The sheep then climbs into a girl's window. The sheep gives the girl some soft wool. As soon as she touches it, she falls fast asleep. After that, the sheep climbs back out of the window. On the next pages, it slowly changes back into the moon.
