Thomas Aquinas Maguire is an American writer and artist. He creates wonderful picture books for children. His first book, A Growling Place, came out in August 2007. Later, in 2010, he released Three Little Dreams, which is a special set of three books that unfold. In 2011, his third picture book, The Wild Swans, was published.

- A Growling Place (2007): This is a classic storybook about a girl who helps a stuffed bear. It has a simple chapter system. The table of contents shows chapter names with different colors. These chapter names also appear directly in the story as you read.
- Three Little Dreams (2010): This book shows Maguire's creative way of telling stories using long, single images. It's a box set with three small books that unfold. Each book represents a dream and can unfold to be about 3 feet long! The three dreams are:
- Of Night and of Flight
- Of Dragons and Drowse
- Of Sleep and of Sheep
- The Wild Swans (2011): This book is a beautifully illustrated version of the famous Hans Christian Andersen story. The entire story is told through one very long image. This image is 6.5 inches tall and unfolds to be over 60 feet wide! The book comes in a box that also includes a small booklet with the original Andersen story.

Thomas Maguire's work has received recognition:
- A Growling Place won 2nd place in The 26th Annual Awards for Excellence in Book Design in Canada. This award was given by the Alcuin Society.
