The Thyella class was a group of four special warships called destroyers. These ships were ordered by the Royal Hellenic Navy (that's the navy of Greece) before World War I. Greece wanted to make its navy stronger after a war they had in 1897.
These four ships were built in Britain starting in 1905. They were some of the last ships made at the Yarrow Shipbuilders shipyard in Cubitt Town, London, before the company moved its operations.
The four destroyers in this class were: Lonchi, Nafkratousa, Sfendoni, and Thyella.
