Tierra del Pan facts for kids
Tierra del Pan means "Land of Bread". It is a special area in the center of the province of Zamora, in western Spain. This region is part of the Castile and León community. The city of Zamora, which is the capital of the province, is also located here.
Even though the people living here feel a strong connection to their region, Tierra del Pan has not received official government recognition. This means it cannot easily manage its own local services. To work around this, the towns in the area have joined together. They formed groups called mancomunidades. This allows them to share and manage public resources, like water or roads, more effectively. About 76,000 people live in this area.
