Time Busters was a fun British TV show made for children. It was created by Tim Child and the same team who produced the popular show Knightmare. The series first appeared on the BBC on January 17, 1993. It continued to air until January 22, 1995.
How Did Time Busters Work?
Each episode of Time Busters featured a team of children. These kids would get on a special 'time-travelling' bus. The bus would then take them to a historical place.
Their main goal was to find a hidden Time-Capsule. This was a race against the clock. Teams had to complete their quest before time ran out.
The Time-Travelling Adventure
The children would find themselves in a historical reenactment. This meant actors would play people from the past. The setting would look like a real place from history.
The team had to solve puzzles and challenges. They interacted with the historical characters. All their actions were part of finding the Time-Capsule.
Racing Against the Clock
Every challenge was a race against time. The teams had a limited amount of time to succeed. If they found the Time-Capsule, they won the episode.
If they ran out of time, they had to stop their quest. No matter what, the children always returned to the bus. The bus would then quickly disappear from that historical era.
