Time Riders was an exciting four-part TV show from 1991. It aired on CITV and was directed by Michael Winterbottom. The show starred Haydn Gwynne as Dr. B. B. Miller, a cool time traveler who rides a motorbike!
The show was filmed in different places. Modern-day scenes were shot at the Polytechnic of Wales. Scenes set in the past, especially during the English Civil War, were filmed at the historic Caerphilly Castle.
A book based on the series was also released in 1991. It was written by Jim Eldridge, who created the show, and featured illustrations by Mark Robertson.

BB and Ben land right in the middle of a battle during the English Civil War. They are captured by the Roundheads, one of the groups fighting. After a daring escape, they end up jumping off the castle walls!

The Roundheads capture BB and Ben again. A witchfinder starts to suspect them of strange things. Finally, they manage to escape and return to the 20th Century. They even arrive before they first left! The show suggests that Dr. Miller might adopt Ben.
