Tirgua National Park (Spanish: Parque nacional Tirgua) is a special natural area in Venezuela. It is also known as General Manuel Manrique National Park. This park helps protect the start of many rivers, especially the Tirgua River. The park is even named after this important river! It became a national park on June 5, 1992.

About Tirgua National Park

Tirgua National Park is located in the middle of Venezuela. It covers parts of two states: Cojedes and Yaracuy. The park is spread across the San Carlos and Anzoátegui areas in Cojedes. It also includes the Nirgua area in Yaracuy.

The park is quite large, covering about 910 square kilometers. That's like a big piece of land dedicated to nature! Its main job is to protect the sources of many rivers. These rivers are very important for the surrounding areas.
