Tiscali Village is an amazing archaeological site found in Sardinia, an island in Italy. It's a very old settlement, meaning a place where people used to live a long time ago.
This special village is hidden inside a huge cave on a mountain called Monte Tiscali. It has the remains of many round houses that were built over 2,000 years ago.

Discovering Tiscali Village
Tiscali Village was found again just over a hundred years ago.
Early Explorations
- The Italian historian Ettore Pais first wrote about the site in 1910.
- Later, in 1927, Antonio Taramelli gave a more detailed description.
- These early explorers helped us learn about this hidden village.
Modern Digs
- More recently, in 2000, archaeologists did a short excavation.
- This was done by a group called the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici.
- They work to protect old sites in the Sassari and Nuoro areas.
Who Lived Here?
The people who lived in Tiscali Village were part of the Nuragic civilization. This was an ancient culture that lived in Sardinia during the Bronze Age and Iron Age. They built many unique stone structures across the island.
