Titanix is a popular dansband from Sweden. A dansband is a type of music group that plays dance music, often for people to dance to in pairs. The band started way back in 1979 in a town called Valdemarsvik.
Over the years, Titanix became quite well-known. They reached the finals of the Swedish dansband championships twice, in 1997 and 2001. They also did really well in a TV show called Dansbandskampen 2009, where they came in second place! During that show, people often asked about their name. The band explained that they were not named after the famous ship RMS Titanic that sank in 1912. Instead, they got their name from an ice hockey stick!
