Tlapalizquixochtzin's sister, Tlacuilolxochtzin, married a very famous Aztec emperor. His name was Moctezuma II. He ruled the Aztec Empire for many years.
Tlacuilolxochtzin and Moctezuma II had a daughter. Her name was Doña Francisca de Moctezuma. Tlapalizquixochtzin also had a nephew who became a king. His name was Diego de Alvarado Huanitzin.
Her Role as Queen
Tlapalizquixochtzin was a queen in two important ways. She was a "Queen Regnant" of Ecatepec. This means she ruled Ecatepec in her own right. She was also a "Queen Consort" of Tenochtitlan. This means she was the wife of the emperor there. She was queen of Tenochtitlan from about 1502 to 1520.
