Tolata Municipality is an important area in Bolivia. It is the third municipal section of the Germán Jordán Province within the Cochabamba Department. The main town and administrative center of this municipality is called Tolata.
History of Tolata
A Difficult Time in 1974
In January 1974, Tolata was the location of a very sad event. Around 100 farmers, also known as peasants, lost their lives during a period when Hugo Banzer was in charge of the government. This time is remembered as a difficult moment in the region's history.
