About Tommy Shane Steiner
His Early Life and Music Start
Tommy Shane Steiner was born in Austin, Texas. His parents were both involved in rodeo shows, which are like cowboy sports events. But Tommy's main dream was to become a country music singer.
He started playing music in clubs all over Texas. In 2001, a big record company called RCA Nashville signed him. This meant they offered him a contract to make music. That same year, his first song, "What If She's an Angel", was released. Soon after, his album Then Came the Night came out.
"What If She's an Angel" quickly became a hit. It was played on nearly 100 radio stations in just one week! The song reached number 2 on the Billboard U.S. country music charts. However, his next songs were not as successful. Tommy left RCA Nashville in December 2002 and has not recorded new music since then.
After His Music Career
After leaving the record company, Tommy went back to his family's cattle ranch in Austin. Later, he sold the ranch to a company that wanted to build on the land. Today, Tommy owns a restaurant called the Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. He sometimes sings at his restaurant, but he does not plan to go back to being a full-time music artist.
