Tomohiro Wanami's Football Journey
Tomohiro Wanami was born in Inabe, Mie on April 27, 1980. He became a professional football player after finishing high school.
Early Career and First Teams
In 1999, Tomohiro joined a team called Bellmare Hiratsuka. This team was part of the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league. He quickly became a regular player, meaning he played in most of the games, usually as a left-side midfielder.
However, in 2000, his team, Shonan Bellmare, moved down to the J2 League. This happens when a team doesn't perform well enough in the top league.
Playing for Consadole Sapporo
In 2001, Tomohiro moved to a new team, Consadole Sapporo. This team had just been promoted to the J1 League. He continued to play many matches as a left-side midfielder for them.
Unfortunately, Consadole Sapporo also moved down to the J2 League in 2003. In 2004, Tomohiro was loaned to Vissel Kobe. Being "loaned" means he played for a different team for a short time. However, he couldn't play any matches for Vissel Kobe because of an injury.
In May 2004, he returned to Consadole Sapporo. He continued to be a regular player until 2005. After 2006, he didn't get to play as much, and he decided to stop playing professional football at the end of the 2007 season.
Return to Local Football
After a break, Tomohiro Wanami made a comeback in 2013. He started playing for his local team, Veertien Kuwana. This team was in the Japanese Prefectural Leagues, which are lower-level leagues.
His team, which later became Veertien Mie, started to move up! They were promoted to the Japanese Regional Leagues in 2015. Then, in 2017, they moved up again to the Japan Football League. Tomohiro has continued to play for them, helping his local team succeed.
