Tomokazu Hirama (平間 智和, Hirama Tomokazu, born June 30, 1977) is a Japanese former football player. He played as a Midfielder for several clubs in Japan.

Tomokazu Hirama's Football Journey

Starting His Career

Tomokazu Hirama was born in Shibata, Miyagi, Japan, on June 30, 1977. After finishing high school, he began his professional football career in 1996. He joined Yokohama Marinos, a team in the top Japanese league, the J1 League. He quickly started playing in many matches during his first season.

Playing for Different Teams

In 1999, Tomokazu moved to Montedio Yamagata. This team had just been promoted to the J2 League, which is the second-highest league in Japan. He became a very important player for them.

The next year, in 2000, he moved to Vegalta Sendai, a team closer to his hometown. He played regularly for the first half of the year. After July, he often came into games as a substitute, meaning he would join the game later to help his team.

Returning to Yokohama and Winning!

In 2001, Tomokazu went back to Yokohama F. Marinos. He played in many games that year. His team had a great season and won the 2001 J.League Cup. This was a big achievement in his career!

Later Career and Retirement

In 2002, he joined Consadole Sapporo. The team moved down to the J2 League in 2003. This meant Tomokazu had fewer chances to play. In 2004, he moved to Albirex Niigata, but he hardly played any games there.

He then moved to the Japan Football League (JFL), which is another league in Japan. In 2005, he played for FC Horikoshi. In 2006, he joined Sony Sendai, a team in his local area. He played for two seasons with Sony Sendai. Tomokazu Hirama decided to retire from football at the end of the 2007 season.

Over his career, Tomokazu Hirama played in 221 league matches and scored 25 goals.
