Tomorrow When the War Began is an Australian TV show. It's based on the popular book series by John Marsden. The show has six episodes and first aired on ABC3 on April 23, 2016. It tells the story from the first book, Tomorrow, When the War Began.

About the Story
This exciting show follows a group of eight teenage friends. They go on a camping trip to a remote place called "Hell." When they come back, they find their small town has been invaded. Their families and friends are gone, held as prisoners.
The teens are now on their own in a world turned upside down. They must learn to survive and protect themselves. They also try to find out what happened to their families. It's a story about courage, friendship, and fighting for what's right.

Making the Show
Filming Locations
The show was filmed from September to November 2015. They shot scenes in and around Melbourne, Australia. Some key locations included the Barwon Heads Bridge and the town of Clunes, Victoria.
Getting the Word Out
To promote the show, ABC released a short preview in November 2015. The first full trailer came out on January 1, 2016. More teasers and trailers were released in March 2016 to get people excited.
Where to Watch
Tomorrow When the War Began was shown on ABC3 in Australia. ABC Commercial handled its distribution within Australia. The show was also distributed to other countries by Annapurna Pictures.
Home Video Release
The series was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on June 1, 2016.
