Tomoyoshi Tsurumi (鶴見 智美, Tsurumi Tomoyoshi, born October 12, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder.

Tomoyoshi Tsurumi's Football Journey

Tomoyoshi Tsurumi was born in Kofu, Japan, on October 12, 1979. He loved football from a young age. After finishing his studies at the University of Tsukuba, he started his professional career.

Starting with Ventforet Kofu

In 2002, Tomoyoshi joined his hometown team, Ventforet Kofu. This club played in the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football league. He quickly became a key player. He played as a defensive midfielder, helping his team protect their goal. His manager, Takeshi Oki, trusted him a lot.

Moving to J1 League Teams

In 2003, Tomoyoshi moved to a bigger club, Shimizu S-Pulse. This team was in the J1 League, the top football league in Japan. His old manager, Takeshi Oki, also moved to Shimizu S-Pulse. Tomoyoshi played in many games for two seasons.

However, in 2005, he didn't get to play as much. So, in April 2005, he moved to another J1 League team, Cerezo Osaka. Even there, he found it hard to get playing time.

Returning to Ventforet Kofu

In 2006, Tomoyoshi decided to go back to his first club, Ventforet Kofu. This was exciting because Ventforet Kofu had just been promoted to the J1 League! In 2006, he sometimes played as a forward, trying to score goals.

However, from 2007 onwards, he hardly played in any matches. Ventforet Kofu was also moved back down to the J2 League. In 2008, he didn't play at all. At the end of the 2008 season, Tomoyoshi Tsurumi decided to retire from professional football.
