Tomoyuki Kajino (梶野 智幸, Kajino Tomoyuki, born July 11, 1960) is a famous former Japanese football player. He was a strong defender who played for many clubs. He also proudly represented his country on the Japan national team. His brother, Satoshi Kajino, was also a professional footballer.

Tomoyuki Kajino's Club Career

Tomoyuki Kajino was born in Aichi Prefecture on July 11, 1960. After finishing his studies at Tokyo University of Agriculture, he started his professional football journey.

Playing for Yanmar Diesel

In 1983, Tomoyuki joined the club Yanmar Diesel. This was a very successful time for the team. They won the JSL Cup twice, in 1983 and 1984. In 1988, his brother, Satoshi Kajino, also joined Yanmar Diesel. They had the special experience of playing together on the same team.

Moving to New Teams

In 1992, Tomoyuki moved to Gamba Osaka, a club in the top Japanese league, the J1 League. He continued to play as a key defender. Two years later, in 1994, he joined Kashiwa Reysol. That year, Kashiwa Reysol finished second in the Japan Football League. This great performance helped the team get promoted to the J1 League. Tomoyuki Kajino retired from playing football in 1995.

Tomoyuki Kajino's National Team Career

Tomoyuki Kajino also had the honor of playing for his country. On June 2, 1988, he played his first game for the Japan national team. This match was against China.

Representing Japan

In 1989, he was part of the team that played in the 1990 World Cup qualification matches. These games were important steps towards trying to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. By the end of 1989, Tomoyuki Kajino had played 9 games for Japan. He also scored 1 goal for his national team during his career.
