The Colpatria Tower (also known as Torre Colpatria) is a very tall building in the heart of Bogotá, Colombia. It has 50 floors and stands out in the city's skyline. For many years, it was the tallest skyscraper in Colombia, from 1978 until 2016. Today, it's still one of the tallest buildings in the country.
The main offices of Colpatria Bank are here, along with many other banks and financial companies. You can find this famous building where 26th street and 7th avenue meet, right in the middle of downtown Bogotá.
Since 1998, the Colpatria Tower has been lit up every night with colorful lights. In 2012, a company called Philips updated these lights. They installed a 120-meter (390 ft) high LED system. This new system makes the building even brighter and can even show high-definition images. Because it was the tallest building for so long and has these amazing lights, the Colpatria Tower is a famous landmark in Colombia. It helps define Bogotá's skyline, along with other tall buildings like the BD Bacatá.

Building Design and Features
The bottom part of the tower is shaped like a square. It was built where two of Bogotá's most important streets meet. The outside of the building has concrete pillars and vertical glass windows. These go all the way from the ground to the roof, letting in lots of natural light and fresh air for the offices inside.
The Colpatria Tower complex also includes a separate building with ten floors. This smaller building was designed to make the main tower look even taller. It has several public and business banking offices, plus parking spaces for cars.
Observation Deck
The tower has a special observation deck on the 49th floor. This deck is open to visitors on weekends and holidays. Because the tower is so tall and located right in the center of Bogotá, the Colpatria Tower's observation deck is one of the best places to see the city from above.
