The Torre del Agua (which means Water Tower in Spanish) is a tall building in Zaragoza, Spain. It stands about 76 meters (249 feet) high. This special tower was built for the Expo 2008, a big international event held in the city.

The tower was designed by an architect named Enrique de Teresa. It is made from strong materials like concrete, steel, and glass.

What Does the Water Tower Look Like?

From above, the Torre del Agua looks like a single drop of water. It has a clear glass design, making it look very modern. The building also has a large basement with three floors.

Inside, there are many accessible areas. About 3,300 square meters (35,500 sq ft) are in the basement. The rest of the space is spread across ramps and flat areas inside the glass tower.

At the very top, there is a panoramic bar covering 720 square meters (7,750 sq ft). From here, visitors can enjoy amazing views of the Expo site and the city of Zaragoza.

History and Purpose

During the Expo 2008, the Torre del Agua hosted an important exhibition. This show was called Water for Life. It taught visitors about the importance of water.

After the Expo finished, a bank called Caja de Ahorros de la Inmaculada (CAI) bought the tower. On August 3, 2013, the Torre del Agua was opened to the public again. Now, people can visit and enjoy its unique design and views.
