Toto is a soft rock group that formed in Los Angeles in 1978, that was popular in the early 1980's.
The current band members are Joseph Williams, Steve Lukather, David Paich, Steve Porcaro, Keith Carlock and David Hungate (as a touring musician).
The former band members were Fergie Frederiksen, Mike Porcaro, Jeff Porcaro, Simon Phillips, Greg Phillinganes, Jean-Michel Byron, and Bobby Kimball.
Widely known for the Top 5 hits "Hold the Line", "Rosanna", and "Africa", the makeup of the group continues to evolve.
The band has released 17 studio albums, and has sold over 40 million records worldwide.[2] The group has been honored with several Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009.
