Tracey Corderoy, born on April 12, 1965, is a British writer who creates wonderful books for children. Since 2010, she has published 76 books! She works with many different publishers, including Little Tiger Press, Nosy Crow, and Scholastic Children's Books.

Who is Tracey Corderoy?

Tracey Corderoy grew up in a place called Sandfields, Port Talbot in South Wales.

When she was eighteen, Tracey moved to Bath. There, she studied at Bath College of Higher Education (now known as Bath Spa University). She trained to become a primary school teacher and finished her studies in 1987.

After teaching in places like Swindon and Cirencester, Tracey decided to leave teaching to start her own family.

Later, Tracey began working with children in primary schools again. She helped create reading programs and supported kids who were returning to school after being sick for a long time. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for writing for children. She truly believes that stories and language are super important for helping kids learn and use their imagination!
