Chester Simmons III, known as Tre Simmons, is an American basketball coach and former professional player. He was born on July 24, 1982. Tre played college basketball before starting his professional career. He played in many countries, including Greece, Spain, and Israel. In 2013, he was named the EuroChallenge Final Four MVP, a big award in European basketball.

College Basketball Journey
Tre Simmons played college basketball at three different schools. These were Odessa College, Green River Community College, and the University of Washington. Playing college sports helps young athletes get ready for professional careers.
In the 2004–05 season, Tre was recognized as one of the best players. He was named to the All-Pac-10 First Team. This means he was among the top players in his college conference.
Professional Basketball Career
Tre Simmons started his professional basketball journey in 2006. His first team was PAOK in Greece. After that, he moved to Spain to play for Gran Canaria.
Playing in Israel
Later in 2007, Tre moved to Israel. He joined the team Hapoel Galil Elyon. The next season, he played for Hapoel Holon and helped them win the league championship. This was a major achievement for him.
In 2008, Tre joined Maccabi Tel Aviv, a very famous team in Europe. He then played for Hapoel Jerusalem in 2009.
Success in Czech Republic and Russia
From 2010 to 2012, Tre played for ČEZ Nymburk in the Czech Republic. During his time there, he won both the Czech National Championship and the Czech National Cup twice.
In 2012, he moved to Russia to play for Krasnye Krylya Samara. With this team, he won the Russian Cup in 2013. He also helped them win the EuroChallenge championship that same year. Tre was even named the EuroChallenge Final Four MVP for his amazing performance. He returned to ČEZ Nymburk in 2013 and played there until 2015.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2015, Tre played for Cangrejeros de Santurce in Puerto Rico. He then returned to Israel to play for Hapoel Tel Aviv. In 2016, he played for the Antibes Sharks in France.
Tre Simmons played his final professional season in Israel with Hapoel Afula in 2017–2018. He announced his retirement from playing professional basketball on November 8, 2018.
Coaching Career
After his playing career, Tre Simmons became a basketball coach. On July 25, 2023, he joined the coaching staff for the Oregon Ducks women's basketball team. He works as an assistant coach for the team, helping to train and guide the players.
