About Trever Keith
His Early Bands
After finishing high school in 1987, Trever Keith started a metal band. He formed it with his friends Matt Riddle, Matthew Altmire, and Rick Altmire. The band was named Victoria Manor. They played shows in the high desert area and recorded a three-song demo.
After a few years, the band members went their separate ways. Keith and Riddle then formed a new band called Zero Tolerance. They were joined by drummer Rob Kurth and guitarist Mark Haake. Zero Tolerance was inspired by Keith's love for new wave music. However, like Victoria Manor, this band also lasted only a short time.
Starting Face to Face
Zero Tolerance broke up in early 1991. After that, Trever Keith started Face to Face. He formed it with bassist Matt Riddle and drummer Rob Kurth. Face to Face is known as an important California punk band.
The band has released nine full-length albums over nearly 25 years. In 2004, Face to Face took a break. This allowed the band members to work on other music projects. During this time, the band released a CD/DVD collection called Shoot the Moon. It came out on Keith's own label, Antagonist Records. The DVD included a film about the band's history. It also showed their last concert from their "Only Goodbye Tour" in Los Angeles in 2004.
On January 29, 2008, Trever Keith announced good news. He said on Face to Face's website that the band was getting back together. They planned to play several shows in the US. On April 5, 2008, the band played together for the first time in four years. This was at The Bamboozle Left festival in Orange County, California. Since then, the band has continued to perform many live shows. They have also recorded three more albums.
What He Did Besides Face to Face
In 1999, Trever Keith helped produce an album called Blindside. This album was by the band Peel. After Face to Face first broke up in 2004, Keith worked on other music. He focused on his first solo album and his record label, Antagonist Records.
He also started a remix and mash-up group called The Legion of Doom. He created this group with his partner Chad Blinman. Keith also played with the band Viva Death. He was a guest singer on a song for the band Say Anything.
His Solo Music
In February 2008, Trever Keith released his first solo album. It was called Melancholics Anonymous. He released it on his own label, Antagonist Records. The album was also available online for a small price. You could also listen to it for free on his website.
The CD version of the album was special. Only 1000 copies were made, and each was signed and numbered by hand. These CDs were only sold during his solo tour in 2008 and at Warped Tour in 2010. On May 28, 2021, he released a new song called "Heading South."
