Trisha Ray is a talented American filmmaker, writer, and artist. She creates movies, writes stories for them, acts in them, and even edits them! She is also a charcoal artist.

In 2022, Trisha Ray finished the first episode of her 8-episode comedy series called RECAST. This show stars actors like Lorelei Linklater, Eric Roberts, and Pooja Batra. The team is currently making the rest of the season.

Trisha Ray's Journey in Film

Starting Her Film Career

When Trisha Ray was in her first year of college, she worked at a printing press in California. In her free time, she wrote her very first full-length movie script, called Hola Armando. After finishing it, she decided to leave school to focus on making films.

She started by working as an intern for different movie companies. This helped her learn everything about making films. She worked on sets as a helper, assisted editors, and even showed off new software. Eventually, a TV network hired her as a producer.

Making Bodhisattva

In the winter of 2009, Trisha Ray and San Banarje wrote a mystery movie called Bodhisattva. A famous actor named Soumitra Chatterjee played the main character. Trisha wanted to play the role of Maya in the film.

At first, the director, San Banarje, wasn't sure if Trisha was right for the part. He told her she had one day of filming to prove herself. If she didn't do well, he would find another actor. Trisha did a great job on the first day, and she kept the role! The whole movie was filmed at Trisha's mother's house. Her mom and their dog, Kalia, stayed in one room until filming was done each day.

More Exciting Film Projects

In 2013, Trisha co-wrote another mystery movie called The Shadow Behind You with San Banarje. After that, she directed a film called Artisse, which was written by Brian Stewart.

In the winter of 2013, Trisha also helped produce and edit a comedy-drama called ... Marriage and .... This movie was directed by Richard Finger. It starred actors like Charlie O'Connell, Shannon Tweed, and Sophie Simmons. All three of these movies were released in 2014.

In 2015, Trisha Ray co-wrote the movie A Curry on an American Plate with the director, San Banarje. This film featured actors like Rick Fox and Charlie O'Connell.

In 2018 and 2019, Trisha wrote and directed a thriller movie called 6 Rounds of Chloe. Kamala Lopez and San Banarje played the main characters, and Alexandra Goel played Chloe.

In 2020, Trisha and San started their comedy series RECAST. They planned to film the show in Los Angeles. However, because of the coronavirus, they had to delay filming. Production finally began in November 2020 in Houston.
