Troy Bond's AFL Journey
Playing for Carlton (1994–1995)
Troy Bond started his football journey in South Australia. He played for the Port Adelaide team in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). Later, he joined the Carlton Football Club in the AFL in 1994.
During his time at Carlton, Troy played 36 games. He also kicked 26 goals for the team. In 1995, Carlton had an amazing year. They won the premiership, setting a new record. Troy played in 15 games that season. However, he did not play in the big championship game, the Grand Final.
Playing for Adelaide (1996–1999)
After the 1995 season, Troy moved to the Adelaide Football Club. This was a big change for him. In 1997, Troy had a fantastic finals series. He kicked 10 goals in total during these important games. This included four goals in the Grand Final win. This helped his team win the premiership!
In 1998, Troy faced some challenges. He had problems with his hamstring muscles. Because of these injuries, he only played 10 games. He also missed the chance to play in another Grand Final. This was due to a shoulder injury that needed surgery.
Troy continued to struggle with injuries in 1999. He again played only 10 games that year. He worked hard to get fit for the next season. He wanted to play in the midfield. But a hip injury sadly ended his AFL career. Troy played 58 games for the Adelaide Crows. He kicked 63 goals for them.

Troy Bond has a younger brother named Shane. Shane also played Australian rules football in the AFL. He played for the West Coast Eagles and the Port Adelaide Football Club.
