The Trumptini is a special cranberry-flavored drink. It is made with a mix of Bacardi Limon, Cointreau, sour mix, and cranberry juice. This drink is usually served in a glass with a salty rim. It is often decorated with a "T"-shaped slice of lemon peel and a small amount of salmon caviar.
Even though it has "martini" in its name, it is not a true martini. The name "Trumptini" is a portmanteau. This means it combines two words: "Trump" (from Donald Trump) and "martini."
The Trumptini's Story
The Trumptini is a special drink from the Trump International Beach Resort. This resort is located in Miami, Florida. The drink was named after the hotel's owner, Donald Trump. It was created to celebrate the hotel's opening in 1992. Interestingly, Donald Trump himself does not drink alcohol.
In 2008, the Trumptini was recognized as the "Best Signature Drink." This award came from the Miami New Times newspaper.
The name "Trumptini" is a protected brand. This means it is a registered trademark. In June 2016, the ownership of this trademark changed. It moved from the Trump Organization to a company called Drinks Americas.
