The Tulsa Revolution was a professional indoor soccer team from Tulsa, Oklahoma. They played in a league called the Professional Arena Soccer League during the 2013–14 season. After that, they joined the Major Arena Soccer League for the 2014–15 season.

The team was owned by Adam Mellor and Shannon Clark. Their head coach was Alex Miranda. In 2015, the Revolution played their home games at the Expo Square Pavilion in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before that, in 2013 and 2014, they played at the Cox Business Convention Center in Downtown Tulsa.

There was an earlier Tulsa Revolution team, also owned by Adam Mellor. This first team played in the American Indoor Soccer League in 2008.

History of the Tulsa Revolution

The First Tulsa Revolution Team

The very first Tulsa Revolution team started in 2007. They played at the SoccerCity Indoor Sports Complex. This was the first professional soccer team in Tulsa since the Tulsa Ambush in 1992.

The team was one of two new teams in the American Indoor Soccer League for the 2007–08 season. They played a short season of only 7 games and won 2 of them, losing 5. The league stopped operating after that season.

Starting Fresh in 2012

On July 10, 2012, owners Adam Mellor and Shannon Clark decided to start a new Tulsa Revolution team. This team joined the Professional Arena Soccer League as a new expansion team for the 2013–14 season.

Their home games were played at the Cox Business Convention Center. On July 2, 2013, Michael Nsien was named the head coach. The team also announced that Williams Companies would be their main sponsor.

The Revolution held tryouts for players in July 2013. They started signing players in October 2013, including local player Levi Coleman. Their first game was on November 1 against the Illinois Piasa.

The team had a tough season, winning only two games at home and none away. Their final record was 2 wins and 14 losses. They did win two games against non-league teams in the 2013–14 United States Open Cup for Arena Soccer. However, they lost to the Wichita B-52s in the next round. About 866 fans came to their home games on average, which was a good number for the league.

Moving to the Major Arena Soccer League

After the 2013-14 season, the Professional Arena Soccer League changed its name to the Major Arena Soccer League. More teams joined, making the competition much tougher.

The Revolution continued to struggle in the 2014–15 season. They won only one game out of eight in 2014, beating Oxford City FC of Texas. Not many fans came to their games, with an average of 513 people per game at the Cox Business Convention Center.

Because of the low attendance, the team moved their home games to the Expo Square Pavilion for 2015. On January 14, the team's first-year head coach, David Yates, left the team after they had a record of 1 win and 9 losses. On January 20, assistant coach Alex Miranda became the interim head coach for the rest of the season.

After some problems with the playing field, the team continued their games at the new arena. However, the team faced money problems and stopped playing after the 2014-15 season.
