Tutor Systems is a fun Australian learning tool. It helps you check your own answers to make sure they are right! There are many different sets of tasks. These range from games for young children to challenges for older students. This system is the English version of a German tool called LÜK. The name LÜK stands for "learn, practice, check" in German.

How Tutor Systems Works

A Tutor Systems set has a few main parts. You get a workbook with different activities. There is also a flat red box, called a "Tutor plastic tray." This tray has small spaces inside it.

You also get many small tiles. These tiles fit perfectly into the spaces in the tray. Each tile has a number on one side. On the other side, it has a small part of a picture.

Playing and Learning

The goal is to solve the tasks in your workbook. After you find an answer, you place a tile into the tray. You put the tiles in the correct spaces based on your answers.

Once all the tiles are in place, you close the tray. Then, you carefully flip it over and open it again. Now, you can see the picture parts on the back of the tiles.

If you solved all the tasks correctly, the picture on the tiles will match a drawing in your workbook! This way, you can instantly see if your answers were right.

Popularity and Use

Tutor Systems became popular very quickly. In its first year, over 15,000 of the red trays were sold! Today, there are about 600 different workbooks available. These books cover many subjects for all school levels.

This learning tool is often used for individual study. It helps students work on their own. You can find Tutor Systems in pre-schools and primary schools. It is also used in grammar schools and even at university. It helps students learn better and remember things for longer.
