Tyree Cooper, also known simply as Tyree, is an American music producer from Chicago, Illinois. He creates a type of dance music called house music. He is most famous for his hip house song "Turn Up the Bass." This song was a big hit, reaching number 12 on the UK music charts in 1989.
Tyree's Music Journey
Tyree Cooper started his music career after high school. In 1983, he had a chance to play basketball with a scholarship. But he chose to make music instead! He was already a DJ, playing songs for people.
His first song, "I Fear the Night," came out in 1986. It was released by a company called DJ International Records. In 1987, Tyree made another important song called "Acid Over." This song became a classic in the acid house music style.
A year later, in 1988, Tyree teamed up with a rapper named Kool Rock Steady. Together, they released the huge hip house song "Turn Up The Bass." This song helped make hip house music popular around the world!
